FUCHS MEISSELPASTE 400 g Copper/Graphite Chisel Paste for Hydraulic Breakers, up to 1100°C
FUCHS MEISSELPASTE is a professional heavy-duty lubricating paste specifically developed for hydraulic and pneumatic breaker working tools, chisels, moil points and wear bushings. It is designed for components exposed to extremely high contact pressure, impact loads, vibration and elevated temperatures.
MEISSELPASTE is a copper-coloured paste based on mineral oil, an aluminium-complex thickener and solid lubricants. It provides excellent extreme-pressure performance, reduces friction and wear, offers good corrosion protection and has very high resistance to water.
The product is ideal for construction, road-building, quarrying, mining and industrial equipment. FUCHS specifically lists its use with Krupp, Montabert, Rammer, Indeco and other hydraulic and pneumatic breakers with hammer weights ranging from approximately 75 to 6,000 kg.
Specific lubrication points and applications:
- Hydraulic breaker working tool shanks
- Chisel and moil-point insertion areas
- Upper and lower working-tool guide bushings
- Hydraulic breaker wear bushings
- Sliding contact surfaces between working tools and bushings
- Socket tools in pneumatic hammers
- Pneumatic drills and other highly loaded impact tools
- Components operating in water or underwater
- High-temperature and extreme impact-load applications
Main advantages:
- Excellent extreme-pressure (EP) load-carrying capacity
- Reduces wear of working tools and bushings
- Helps prevent seizure and metal-to-metal galling
- Good corrosion protection
- Very high water resistance
- Good release and disassembly properties
- Good resistance to ageing
- Suitable for extreme impact and pressure loads
- Suitable for manual and central lubrication systems
- Dry solid-lubricant film remains effective up to +1100°C

Important: the products listed above are functional alternatives used for hydraulic breaker working tools and other highly loaded sliding contacts. Their formulations, temperature ranges and technical characteristics may differ. Always check the requirements of the specific breaker manufacturer before substitution.
Application method:
FUCHS MEISSELPASTE can be applied manually with a standard grease gun or through central lubrication systems. FUCHS lists systems such as Vogel KFG 1, BEKA-MAX EP 1 and LINCOLN CLS.
Apply the paste to the working-tool shank and bushing contact surfaces in accordance with the hydraulic breaker manufacturer's maintenance instructions. Regular application helps significantly reduce wear of the working tool and guide bushings.
Very important:
FUCHS MEISSELPASTE MUST NOT be used for bearing lubrication! It is not a universal bearing grease. Grease guns filled with MEISSELPASTE should be clearly labelled to prevent accidental use in bearings or other unsuitable lubrication points.
